A day and week in the life of a Lanna resident

We are so excited to kick off Edge City Lanna in just over 6 weeks! We wanted to share a map of the layout of the Lanna village within beautiful Chiang Mai and some of the partner locations that we’ll be working with.

Edge City Lanna will take place on the east side of Chiang Mai’s old town, along the shores of Ping River, split between the Wat Ket and Chiang Moi districts. Our base on Ping River is ideal for a well-balanced popup village — it’s a 15-minute drive from the airport, a 5-minute drive from the city center, and is situated within a healthy mix of residential and commercial developments.

The main hub for Edge City Lanna will be centered around Alt_PingRiver (the gold star), a 24/7 coworking space that we are fully taking over, and a social house next door. We will also spend a lot of time at Chefs Together for breakfasts and The-A-Ter for talks, so these four venues will be the cornerstones of our village. 

A Day and Week in the Life at Edge City Lanna

At Edge City Lanna, our goal is for everyone to make significant progress on their projects, build something meaningful, and leave the month healthier, happier, and more connected. We’ve designed every aspect of this experience to help you achieve that. 

Everyone’s day could look different. To illustrate, here are a couple of examples:

The morning riser ☀️

• 7:30am — 9:00am Morning run with a cold plunge and sauna

• 9:00am — 10:00am: Morning workshop on stablecoins

• 10:00am — 11:00am: Morning brunch outside at Chefs Together

• 11:30am — 2:00pm: Deep work and meetings at Alt_Ping River

• 2:00pm — 3:00pm: Muay Thai class 

• 3:00pm — 4:00pm: Walk with a new collaborator you met the prior day

• 4:00pm — 9:00pm: Deep work with a break for dinner 

• 9:00pm: Hangouts at the social space

The night owl 🦉

• 10:00am — 11:00am: Morning brunch outside at Chefs Together

• 11:00am — 12:00pm: Meditation at local Buddhist temple

• 12:00am — 7:00pm: Deep work and meetings at Alt-Ping River

• 7:00pm — 9:00pm: Programming on consciousness and AI

• 9:00pm — 11:00pm: Hangouts at the social space 

• 11:00pm — 2:00am: Calls with Europe and the US

The high-level flow

Mornings start with activities like yoga or workout classes with one of our top instructors like Natalie Kuhn at F45 Training Night Bazaar and Apex Fitness, or even a meditation at a nearby temple to set the tone for the day followed by a cold plunge and sauna. After a healthy community brunch together at Chefs Together, you can go heads down on work.

Our priority for Edge City Lanna is creating an environment that promotes deep work, so our main workspace at Alt_PingRiver is set up for productivity. There are quiet corners to focus on and rooms for team meetings with reliable internet and a hub that’s open 24/7.

In the early evening, we’ll have two hours of formal programming at The-A-Ter, where you can join talks and discussions on topics like AI, decentralized tech, or sustainable living. It’s a great way to connect with others and share ideas in a setting designed for learning and collaboration where you also have a work environment to immediately work on a problem after and iterate collaboratively over the course of the month.

Each Weekend

Weekends mix learning with adventure. We’ll have unconferences where you can dive into topics that interest you most, driven by participants like yourselves. But we’re mixing work and play with trips out of town to explore the beautiful surroundings of Chiang Mai, whether it’s a hike in the mountains or a visit to a local cultural site.

At Edge City Lanna, you’ll find a balance of deep work, meaningful connections, and activities that support your well-being. By the end of the month, you’ll leave feeling more energized, informed, and ready for what’s next—having made real progress on your projects or even built something entirely new.
