Where to stay in Chiang Mai

We are excited to have you join Edge City Lanna. This post will provide more information about how we’re approaching accommodation. Please only buy accommodation once you have received an acceptance. We’ll be sending application acceptances and how to buy tickets this week. Please apply here if you haven’t done so already :)

Close Proximity is key for serendipity

Our learnings from past events have shown that people prefer selecting their own housing and being in close proximity (aka within a 5-10 min walking radius) makes all the difference in achieving the serendipitous connections that make these events so special.

By default, you’re responsible for your own accommodation 

We recommend booking a place that is within short walking distance to Alt_Ping River Co-working. There are plenty of options (more on that below).

Alt_Ping River co-working (red star), Chef’s Together, and The-A-Ter (pink pentagon) will be three of our cornerstone venues within Lanna village. 

The red square represents the core area of the experience where everything is within a 15 min walking distance. The blue square represents the wider perimeter.

We strongly suggest you to stay within the blue square at furthest and encourage people to find accommodation well within the center of the squares to retain the feeling of a campus like atmosphere, allowing attendees the maximum surface for serendipity.

Chiang Mai has a lot of great options for places to stay! To make it easy for you:

We recommend coordinating with friends about shared housing or staying in the same hotel. If you’re tight on budget, consider sharing a room, given all the community activities and amenities, you won’t be spending a lot of time in your room!

However, we’ve reserved some hotel rooms & homes

• A few programs with group bookings for the whole month will book directly through us. 

• In addition to the rooms we have, for any additional group bookings, we have partnered with a local accommodations team that you can work directly with to book rooms in bulk by reaching out to lodging@edgecity.live
